Description of Services:
Initial assessment
- When you schedule for your initial assessment, you can expect a 50-90 minute session in which the counselor will gather information regarding your family history, your mental health history, and information regarding the current problem. During this session, you and the counselor will also identify goals and a plan for your treatment moving forward.
Follow-up assessment
- A follow-up assessment will be conducted during a standard 60 minute session, and similar to an initial assessment the focus will be on gathering information and developing your treatment plan. A follow-up assessment can be conducted any time after your initial assessment based on individual needs.
Family and Couples counseling
- Family and couples counseling sessions are 50 minute long sessions in which multiple family members participate, and the focus of these sessions would generally be focused around problems within the relationships. For example, a parent with child/children with a focus on communication and trust, or a husband and wife with a focus on connecting emotionally.
Individual counseling
- Individual counseling sessions are 60 minute long sessions, which can be conducted with children, adolescents, or adults. The focus of an individual session will be based on the treatment goals identified in the initial or follow-up assessment.
Professional consultation
- Consultation sessions will vary in length and focus depending upon the purpose and goals of the consultation request.
